TV Cookery Shows

Guide to getting on TV cookery shows and how to appear on television programmes such as Masterchef, Come Dine With Me and A Question of Taste:

There is an abundance of these across a range of television channels in the UK. This gives the amateur cook at home an opportunity to appear on these and demonstrate their skills or to learn some new ones. Appearing on a TV cooking programme is also a chance to have your fifteen minutes of fame. So if you have a burning ambition to appear on Saturday Kitchen, Drop Down Menu, The Secret Supper Club, There's No Taste Like Home, The Great British Taste Tour, Best Dish, Marco Pierre White Kitchen Wars, Chopped or The Great British Bake Off then read further below for details on how to apply.

If you would like your cookery programs and television cooking shows details added to this page then please contact www.recipebookreviews.com

The Drummer Boy

The Drummer Boy is my latest novel about the ghost of a Gordon Highlander Drummer Boy from the Battle of Waterloo who haunts a modern day army nurse.

Chapters take place in modern day Aberdeen, at the Noose & Monkey bar and restaurant as well as His Majesty’s Theatre and Garthdee. Other scenes take place at Tidworth and during the Napoleonic War.

Read the first three chapters for free on most devices.

Food, Glorious Food

This is a new series for ITV1 which is a search for Britain's best loved recipe. It is a competition that anyone can enter, as an individual or as a group - all it takes is the ability to cook one delicious dish. The winning dish will earn its owner £20,000 as well as the pride of seeing their dish on the shelves of Marks & Spencer.

It could be a dish that has been passed on down through generations, an age-old, favourite recipe that you’d like to make a comeback or a traditional dish with a secret ingredient.
